The following calendar is a general idea of the events and seasons for HopeWell Ranch. Please keep track of specific dates through our calendar on this website or the events list on our Facebook page.

February – April:

Volunteer and Parent Orientations. Please check our events on our facebook page or the calendar on this website for exact dates and times.

March:

We are sometimes the site for Family Life Radio’s “Servant Saturday”

April:
“Yesterdays’ Prom” fundraiser – a dance for women of all ages! Includes contests and a silent auction.

April – June:

Horse training days for volunteers who will be handling the horses are held about once a month on a Saturday.

May:

Spring Cleaning Day is held on a Saturday to finish preparing the ranch grounds, buildings, and garden for the summer season

CMU’s Camp Quality, when held, includes riding activities at the ranch.

May – October:

First Fridays are Free Manure Days! You will need to scoop, load, and transport the manure for your gardens, but it is FREE!

June – August:

Heart and Hooves Days. These are hours dedicated as open house hours for the general public and volunteers to come to the ranch to groom the horses, clean up the ranch, etc.

June:

First week of June is often when we “open” for the summer sessions

3rd Saturday is our annual “Farm Fair”. This is a fun day for the family to come out and see the animals, play games, eat great food, listen to music, visit vendor booth, and see demonstrations such as horse trainers, barrel racers, farriers, and crafts.

July:

Horse and Bible Camp – This is a day camp held over 4 days for boys and girls age 5-12. This is a fee-based camp that includes Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, and horsemanships skills. The last day includes a horse show for family and friends.

August:

Mosey-A-Thon Fundraiser (like a walk a thon).

August:

End of summer volunteer celebration (Potluck, appreciation awards, fun!)

August or September:

Orientation for those interested in volunteering over the fall and winter months. This includes planning, organizing, updating website and print materials, working on fundraisers and other events. After the indoor arena is built, we will need volunteers to help with therapeutic horsemanship sessions.

October:

Fall Benefit Fundraiser Dinner – Held off-site, this is a great night of celebration and an opportunity to bid on great items, hotel stays, and other packages in support of the ranch’s free therapeutic horsemanship programs.

December:

Christmas party for the children participants – Donors provide gifts, and volunteers and participants provide a potluck meal. Held at the Weidman Community Center (this may move to the indoor arena!)

December – January:

After the Christmas party, the ranch will be closed for a few weeks so that the Stuber family can rest and recharge!
