Project Solomon is a newly developed program as of Spring 2016.  We are very honored to have a program available for our beloved military men and women who experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) resulting from their military experiences.

HopeWell Ranch is a peaceful farm environment where veterans, current military service men and women, and family members unite to facilitate healing and strengthen familial relationships through equine interaction and experiential activities.

The PCL-5, a 20-item self-report measure that  assesses the 20 DSM-5 symptoms of PTSD, was administered  pre- and post-session.  Evidence for the PCL for DSM-IV suggests that a 5-10 point change represents reliable change (i.e., change not due to chance) and a 10-20 point change represents clinically significant change. The results indicated four of the six veteran’s experienced a clinically significant change in their symptoms as a result of participation in the program.  One other member demonstrated a reliable decrease in symptoms.  The remaining member demonstrated a decrease in symptoms however it was not indicative of reliable change.
